Musalia Mudavadi, leader of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party, criticized Vice President William Ruto for fielding candidates from the United Democratic Alliance in Vihiga County.
«Let’s face it. Will they elect anyone from the UDA? Because as much as we have joined here at the top where we are doing the government, but an MP for Ruto will come from the UDA, his home MCA will come from the UDA. So why would you decide to deny me the opportunity to be represented by an ANC lawmaker? He said.
Mudavadi warned his supporters not to embarrass him by entertaining UDA candidates in his homeland of Vihiga County.
“Let me ask you since we are in coalition with Ruto, we are all at the top of the government. But let me ask you, will the people of Sugoi elect a member of parliament from the ANC? Mudavadi questioned.
Speaking in Sabatia on Wednesday night, Mudavadi complained that Ruto’s UDA is fielding candidates on its home turf as it avoided trampling other regions controlled by its Kenyan Kwanza executives.
The former deputy prime minister told the people in his native Luhya language that Sugoi’s voters would, no doubt, choose a member of parliament and that of the UDA-affiliated County Assembly to represent Ruto during the 9 general election. August.
